Each Wood Badge course starts with a course director but it goes much deeper than that. Planning starts a couple of years ahead of time. The staff is assembled and they start working on presentations, itemizing responsibilities and of course recruiting. Before long you have a lot of people working towards the day 1 of the course.

When the participants come on board it doubles the size of Wood Badge. During the first weekend they start working on tickets in preparation to “work” their ticket during the next 18 months. These tickets touch countless others.
